Artwork & File Setup — Getting Your Design Print-Ready

Submitting the right file from the start saves time and produces a better result. Here is everything you need to know.

Preferred file formats

  • SVG — Vector logos, icons, flat artwork. Preferred for scalable designs.
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator) — Complex vector artwork. Outline all fonts before saving.
  • EPS — Vector graphics, widely compatible.
  • PDF (vector) — Multi-element layouts. Embed all fonts and images.
  • PNG with transparent background — Raster artwork for DTF. Minimum 300dpi at print size.

Resolution requirements

For DTF garment printing: minimum 300dpi at the intended print size. A small file scaled up to print size will look pixelated — check your image dimensions before sending.

For sublimation (mugs, hard products): minimum 150dpi at print size, 300dpi for best results.

Colour mode

Work in RGB colour mode. We convert to the appropriate profile for the production method used.

White backgrounds and transparency

For garment printing: white areas in PNG files can be visible on dark garments unless the background is transparent. Always supply PNG files with transparent backgrounds for garment printing — or let us know if you need the white background removed.

Fonts

If you are supplying a file with text, convert fonts to outlines (vectors) before saving. This ensures fonts display as intended regardless of whether we have the typeface installed.

Not sure about your file?

Send us your file and describe your project. We will review it and tell you whether it is suitable as supplied, or what changes (if any) are needed. We would rather check upfront than produce an unsatisfactory result.
